Right now I wish I were eloquent, poetic, inspirational, and well-written.
Instead, I'm just going to cut to the chase.
The Schpak Family has touched me beyond words. They have been fighting (what feels like) a losing battle with hospitals, adoption agencies, lawyers, surgeons... all to keep the little boy that they have called "son" since the day he was born.
Sadly, at this point in time, it looks as if he will not be able to grow up with his family, as his medical needs are severe and the medical professionals feel that he must instead live permanently in a hospital setting.
As the family grieves for the child they have loved and lost, they continue to battle for another child: Shannon.
"Shannon", age 5, sitting in a mental institution, unaware that a family is trying desperately to set her free.
One family, two battles, two children locked away. At least one still has hope of growing up within a family.
They need our help.
The family needs the funds available to submit their dossier paperwork.
I want us to help.
I want Elisha's Village to welcome a second child; to give "Shannon" the same hope that you have given our girl.
So, starting now, I'm hosting an auction. Please use the comment area to bid on items. The winning bidders will be contacted around December 4th, and you will be given instructions to make your donations then. (Please do not pay for items until I contact you!)
Donations were lovingly gifted by Jessie at the Etsy Shop Merry Klay. They are absolutely adorable and are perfect gifts for little girls, just in time for the holidays.
If you have a donation you'd like to add to the auction, please email me and I will add it on.
UPDATE: I've had more donations offered since starting this post earlier today. Bidding is open; keep checking back for more items as I get photos up and listed. THANK YOU EVERYONE!
Shipping will be additional on top of bids and will be calculated on your receipt.
Auction begins now and ends the eve of November 24th (Thanksgiving.) I will plan to ship the Merry Klay items the second week of December so that you receive them in time for holiday exchanges.
