What's Your Resolution?

I saw what I saw and I can't forget it 

I saw children desperately seeking our attention, hoping we'd come for them.

I heard what I heard and I can't go back 

I heard them calling out to us, begging us to give them a chance. 

I know what I know and I can't deny it 

 I know that, no matter how much their nannies care for them, it doesn't replace the love of a family.

Something on the road, 

cut me to the soul.

I say what I say with no hesitation 

 If not us, then who?

I have what I have and I’m giving It up

What gives me the right to have so much, while all they ask for is a family? 

I do what I do with deep conviction

How can I not do everything in my power to change their story?
